R01ex Daytona 116508 ‘John Mayer’ Yellow Gold Green Dial (2019)
The R01ex 116508, affectionately known as the ‘John Mayer’ Daytona, has become one of the most sought-after modern Daytona references. Crafted in 18k yellow gold, the 40mm case embodies timeless luxury, complemented by a matching yellow gold Oyster bracelet with a polished center link and Oysterlock clasp for a seamless, elegant finish.
The striking metallic green sunburst dial, paired with contrasting gold subdials, gives the watch its unique character and collectible appeal. Chromalight-filled hands and hour markers provide excellent legibility, while the chronograph’s 30-minute, 12-hour counters, and small seconds subdial ensure precision functionality.
Popularized by musician John Mayer, this reference has gained cult status among collectors, combining R01ex’s racing heritage with a vibrant, bold design that sets it apart in the Daytona lineup.
